Our Liposomal Vitamin C is manufactured in the UK to GMP standards by GM Priority Pharma. Each batch is third-party tested for purity and potency. We use only Quali-C® ascorbic acid sourced from Scotland. In our Liposomal Delivery Technology, Quali-C® ascorbic acid is encapsulated inside microscopic spheres made from non-GMO sunflower phospholipid bilayers, the same structural motif that forms phospholipid cell membranes. Similar liposomal vitamin C preparations have been characterised in human studies that tracked vitamin C levels in blood over time after supplementation, using pharmacokinetic measurements such as plasma concentrations and time–concentration curves. Our liposomal vitamin C uses non-GMO sunflower-derived phospholipids for encapsulation, forming membrane-like spheres that surround the water-soluble vitamin. In our Liposomal Delivery Technology, vitamin C is encapsulated within microscopic sunflower-derived phospholipid bilayers, the same structural motif that forms phospholipid cell membranes. Instead of leaving vitamin C as loose crystals, this approach encapsulates it in a liposomal matrix of phospholipids and vitamin C, similar to those investigated in the scientific literature.

Liposomes are dynamic phospholipid bilayers built from the same general type of phospholipid assemblies and bilayer architecture found in cell membranes. Both are dynamic lipid structures with fluid behaviour and the ability to curve, bud, and reorganise. In cell biology, membranes routinely exchange vesicles with the same bilayer structure during exocytosis, endocytosis, and vesicle trafficking. Liposomal systems have been the subject of numerous studies as delivery vehicles for supplement ingredients, including water-soluble nutrients such as vitamin C.

Liposomal formulations of vitamin C have been characterised in human studies by tracking the amount of the encapsulated nutrient that appears in the bloodstream over time. In several comparative designs, liposomal and non-liposomal versions of the same nutrient were administered to participants to quantify differences in pharmacokinetic profiles. Taken together, this makes our Liposomal Delivery Technology a premium, capsule-friendly format for modern vitamin C supplementation.
